Emerald Builders is a family-owned remodeling company based in South Jersey. Owned by a husband and wife team, Jared Horton & Chelsea Reyes, bring over 15 years of hands-on experience to every project. Together, they bring a blend of hands-on craftsmanship, project management expertise, and a shared passion for turning houses into homes. From custom trim work to full home renovations, our clients trust us because we show up on time, communicate clearly, and treat every home like it’s our own.

Meet Jared
Co-Founder & Lead Builder
With over 15 years in carpentry, tile work, and construction management, Jared has built a career on precision and problem-solving. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and ability to translate a client’s vision into reality, he thrives on projects that challenge both skill and creativity.

When he’s not on a job site, Jared enjoys golfing, spending time with their 3 dogs, and hanging out with his stepdaughter, Austen. He’s happiest when the whole family is outdoors— whether it’s at the beach, barbecuing, or playing mini golf.
Meet Chelsea
Co-Founder & Project Visionary
Chelsea blends business strategy with a designer’s eye. Drawing from her background in marketing and operations, she manages the behind-the-scenes flow that keeps projects organized, on budget, and stress-free. Passionate about home design and the client experience, Chelsea ensures every detail enhances the way people live in their homes. She believes remodeling should be exciting, not overwhelming. ​

Outside of work, Chelsea loves to travel, craft, garden, and coach her daughter Austen’s softball team. She also enjoys family time and never passes up a friendly round of mini golf.
